Notes

2007-08-01 - Identified through on-line information from Michael Fox. -- Wurlitzer op. 855, II/8, originally in Egyptian Theatre, Portland. Instrument now includes four ranks from the Estey organ installed at the 1905 Lewis & Clark Exposition (which may have been moved to the Scottish Rite Center and then mostly displaced by the Wurlitzer) and a Gottfried Kinura. Two consoles: three-manual in balcony, two-manual on auditorium floor stage left. One of the consoles, I was told, was obtained from Australia. -Database Manager

2008-04-02 - Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- The Estey ranks present were not previously in the Scottish Rite facility, as far as I know. The previous organ was an original ca. 1901, 2/17 Aeolian broken up by Balcom and Vaughan, but partially relocated to First Presbyterian in Pendleton, OR. The present rebuilt Wurlitzer has its original 2-man. console controlling the original 8 ranks. But it also has a secondary 3-man. console controlling a total of 16 ranks. The Balcom and Vaughan Master Opus List indicates that at the time of the rebuild, the organ was enlarged to 3-manuals and 14 ranks. -Database Manager
