2011-07-11 - Updated through on-line information from Tom Johnson. -- I have performed very minor maintenance regarding "unsticking" keys on several occasions. Some aspects of the organ contain terms that I am unfamiliar with; hence , I am unable to further refine the description of certain aspects of the instrument. There is no web page for this specific organ that I'm aware of. -Database Manager

NOTES
The organ is free-standing and encased in a front gallery. The 3-sectional
facade contains 17 stenciled pipes arranged: 5-7-5.

The organ was opened on March 12, 1878 by Mr. Dudley Jardine and Prof. A.E.
Smith, organists. The church has retained in its files a copy of the dedica-
tion program with specifications. The Great 8' Melodia was listed as Melody
Flute. The Swell 4' was called Violino. And the Pedal stop was Contra Bourdon.

The Great 8' Open Diapason has pipes 1-13 en facade. The Great 8' Gamba is
grooved to the Melodia for its bottom octave. The Great 2' Piccolo is really
a small 2' Fifteenth.

The Swell Diapason Bass is stopped and louder than the Lieblich Gedeckt. The
Clariana is fairly keen. The 4' Violina is really a small Principal. And the
II Cornet begins as 15-19 in the bottom octave, but breaks-back to 12-15 at
tenor C for the rest of its compass.

The Blower's Signal in 1970 reads 'Motor', but was inoperative. Stops marked
with an asterisk (*) had missing stopknob faces with typed paper inserts in
1970.
