2007-08-24 - Identified through online information from Stephen Hall. -- The organ is in twin cases on either side of the chancel with the two facades each: one facing the altar and and the other the nave. The console is detached and is located between the left case and the altar, reversed to face the altar and choir. Long trackers run under the floor to the right case housing the Pedal division. Electric action is used for off-set basses and the Trompette en Chamade, which is mounted on the chancel wall between the two cases. A special heat shield was constructed above the Trompette to prevent tuning problems due to the large stained glass window above it. The third manual at the top is labeled Solo but the Trompette is the only stop available although it does also play at 16' to Tenor C; the third manual also functions as a coupler manual. -Database Manager
