2007-09-04 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- According to the booklet "Four Organs of Historical Interest in Danville and Chatham, Virginia": Originally built for this location. Donated 1942 to High Street Baptist Church where their sexton was a member. The Hook-Hastings had the keydesk attached at the right end of the facade with the Great immediately above, the Swell in the middle, and the Pedal to the extreme left. The organ had a fixed "combination action" with Great Piano and Great Forte foot trundles as well as a Great to Pedal Reversible. -Database Manager
