2007-09-05 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Information from the booklet "Four Organs of Historical Interest in Danville and Chatham, Virginia." Replaced an 1895 Hook & Hastings lost to fire in 1905. Möller cost $2,950.00 The organ was electrified with a new, detached console sometime before 1946, but without tonal changes. In 1946, the organ was sold to Loyal Baptist Church in Danville and installed there by the original builder. A new instrument was installed in First Baptist. -Database Manager
