2023-04-07 - From the NYC AGO NYC Organ Project, Steven E. Lawson: Grace Baptist Church was founded in 1886 as the West End Baptist Church, and a church was built on Forty-seventh Street in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn. In 1908, West End Baptist Church merged with the Fourth Avenue Baptist Church, and the combined congregration was named Grace Baptist Church. The cornerstone for the present building was laid on September 7, 1913, and the new 500-seat church, of modified Gothic architecture with brick and limestone trim, was dedicated in 1914. -Jeff Scofield
