2021-07-10 - As of 7/10/21: All pipes are extant in the instrument though unplayable. An Aeolian-Skinner/Hall organ is placed in front of it. Chests are tubular pneumatic. Though the windlines are still intact, the blower is missing. Only the pedalboard and bench from the original console survive. -John Roper
2021-12-01 - From Leo Abbott: "The Great did not originally have a 2' but had a Gross Flute 8'. Lem Hirtle, who maintained the organ in the 1960's, changed it at my suggestion so the organ would have a little brightness. I was also told that there originally was a 'synthetic oboe' in the Swell and that was later replaced by a regular Oboe, long before I started playing that organ." -John Roper
