2024-07-29 - Updated through online information from Nicholas Koch (July 28, 2024): I visited the church on June 19th and played the organ. It is a fantastic instrument for hymn accompaniment and is flexible enough to do some repertoire. It's voicing is warm and full with bold diapasons, colorful flutes, and delicate string stops. The oboe on this organ is voiced such that it works as both a solo voice or an appropriate chorus reed. The 8' Melodia is a particularly charming rank with slight treble ascendancy. The key action becomes rather heavy when couplers are engaged and the reeds are not particularly fond of being used in full organ. -Jim Stettner
