Notes

2007-09-12 - Identified through online information from Stephen Hall. -- Sacred Heart is an historic building dedicated in 1905. Organ is in regular use for services, concerts and recitals (2007). Charles Callahan has recorded on this organ, CD is available through Wicks website. -Database Manager

2008-06-23 - Updated through online information from Juan Palacio. -- When the original Möller organ was rebuilt in 1991 by Wicks, it was reduced to 53 ranks, so it is missing 17 ranks. They were taken out and are missing or not on the chests. Once I spoke to the organist, and I saw the chest; indeed, you could see it's missing lots of pipes -- at least 200-500 pipes. The organist told me that perhaps the pipes were removed out of the church. She also told me that the organ was not tuned properly, or the organ itself gets out of tune. The rose window at the rear of the church lets lots of light and heat into the organ, so perhaps that's why the tuning doesn't last long. The organ is played a few times, but most of the time is not played; it sounds OK when played. JUNE 22/2008 -Database Manager

2013-11-18 - At some point, the console was moved from the gallery to in front of the right transept. -Database Manager
