2021-03-11 - Note written Sept. 10, 2020 by Roy Redman: The 29 rank Koehnken and Grimm organ, built in c1883 for St. Paul's Congregational church in Cincinnati has had a difficult history. It was featured at the 1965 OHS convention. Reviews in The Tracker noted that the organ was in bad condition, but sounded rich and bright and had possibilities. Some time after that it was taken out poorly by an amateur. The casework and 16' facade were lost and the organ was stored in Dallas, Texas. There it suffered vandalism, including many smashed pipes until we rescued it and put it in decent storage. Now there is new interest in the organ so we decided to get it out, round out and wash the pipes and really find out what we have. We have set 8, 4,and 2 back on speech and have been thrilled with the resulting sound. Scaling is generous, cut-ups and nicking are moderate, and the result shows enlightened design and function. The organ is available for re-location and [Redman Pipe Organs](http://www.redmanpipeorgans.com/) would be happy to correspond with any who are interested in Koehnken and Grimm organs. -Aelwen Jones

2022-10-27 - This building was built in 1850 by St. Paul's German Evangelical Congregational Church. This organ replaced an 1846 organ by Mathias Schwab from the previous building. The congregation of the Church of God has used the building since the 1940s, with the organ largely unused. -- *1965 OHS Handbook* -Paul R. Marchesano
