2022-07-10 - Building no longer exists, though the site is still run by a legacy organization rooted in the Protectory of Mary. Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services was established by the Sisters of Charity of Montreal, “Grey Nuns” in 1868. At the request of a local priest, five Grey Nuns came to Lawrence to operate a home for orphans and “sick young girls of the mills”.
