Notes

2007-09-22 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This was a major rebuild and tonal renovation of the church's existing 1889 Geo. S. Hutchings, Opus 196. According to the 1966 OHS Handbook, the origin pipe fence facade was altered to overhang the keydesk, and now contains the treble of the Pedal Principal unit. While much of the original action, chests, and console remain - the retained pipework was completely revoiced. The Great no longer has an 8' Diapason voice - being based upon an 8' Rohrfloete. The Pedal action was electrified. -Database Manager

The church was built in 1889 and the organ is chambered, facing into the chancel. The original oak case
supported a “pipe fence” of Open Diapason basses, altered by Schlicker to overhang the console and display
the treble of the Pedal Principal unit. Much of the action, console, chests and pipework remain from the
11-rank Hutchings, and the old pipes used have been completely revoiced. The manual and stop action is
mechanical, but the Pedal action is electric. The Swell is behind the Great and the Subbass is at the rear.
The 8′ Rohrfloete has 12 capped metal basses and 12 tapered metal trebles; the Octave is from the Hutchings;
the Spielfloete is of tapered tin pipes; the Hohlfloete is of metal. The Salicional is old and has 12 capped
zinc basses; the Gedeckt is also old and has 12 open metal trebles; the 4′ Rohrfloete is entirely of chimney
pipes. The Subbass was rebuilt and extended; the bass of the 8′ Principal is from the Hutchings Great; the
Rauschpfeife is pitched at 15-19; the Schalmei is the old Hutchings Oboe.
