Notes

2007-10-02 - Identified through online information from Stephen Hall. -- The original mechanical action instrument in a case at floor level is now the Great organ; the swell shutters were removed from inside the case and the Swell chest now holds additional Great ranks. A new Swell division is located in the attic above the sacristy; it contains original Swell pipes on new chests, plus two vintage Hutching chests holding a mixture of new and vintage pipes. The vintage pipes include four ranks of Cavaillé-Coll pipes from a church that was destroyed during WW II. The Pedal basses are in a functional display outside the Great case, and includes a vintage Skinner 16 Diapason (metal). The Positiv is cantilevered from the wall on the opposite side of the Chancel, and serves as an Antiphonal as well as Positiv. It also contains two vintage Cavaillé-Coll ranks. (information from an interview with pastor Rev. Robert W. Brown and organist Gerald Stamey) Organ is in regular use for services and annual recitals (2007). -Database Manager
