2011-01-29 - Updated through online information from James A. Taylor, Jr.. -- Just wish to offer a correction concerning this organ. The 16' Trompette (1-85) is half-length from 1 (CCC) to 18 (FF), 19 through 54 being full length, 55 though 67 being harmonic-length. In general, the organ is essentially a 1970's version of the Moller Artiste, at that time called the " '70's Series", which Moller offered in a number of sizes and configurations. In this instance, the organ is double-decked, the Great being mounted & exposed directly atop the Swell cabinet. I helped assemble, test, and disassemble a number of these 70's Series organs while working at Moller's in 1977. MPM would produce at that time 1 or 2 of these organs a week. They were engineered to be produced at sizes ranging from 3 ranks all the way up to 13 ranks, and even extending the GT 8' Principal down to 16' pitch on occasion. Very well-thought-out designs, and were pretty much a breeze to access the interior thereof for tuning/service purposes. I still wonder why no one is producing something like this any more. There is definitely still a market for them. Kind of like the pipe organ's version of a starter home... . -Database Manager
