2007-10-21 - Rebuild of original organ. All the original pipes remain with the addition of several pipes to bring the instrument up to AGO standards. The original keyboards had 58 keys each. Tuning sleeves were added to the original pipes which were all cleaned and restored as well as revoiced. The original case remains, but the console which was connected to the front of the case was removed. A new digital console, designed to access the full potential of the instrument, was added near the case, but not connected to it. The work was expertly done by Mr. Hubert Doerfler of Deorfler Pipe Organ Company of Findlay, Ohio. Unfortunately, Mr. Doerfler passed away this July (2007) as the result of an auto accident. Peebles-Herzog Organ Company of Columbus, Ohio, is now contracted to service the instrument. -Database Manager
