Notes

2007-10-22 - Identified by James R. Stettner through information from the Estey Opus List, published in The Boston Organ Club newsletter, 1973-1979. -Database Manager

2010-05-28 - Updated through on-line information from Tim Wages. -- Cash register console, all original leather, some (not sure how many) Haskel pipes, probably 100% original condition. Not reliably playable as of 5/27/2010. Needs to be restored. -Database Manager

2011-01-14 - Updated through on-line information from Tim Wages. -- This instrument is almost original. As far as we know, some minor "fixes" were done back in the 1960s. However, it has been largely untouched since it was installed back in the mid 1920s. We are in the early stages of getting this instrument back in usable condition as of January 2011. Also planning on restoring this instrument as funds become available. -Database Manager

2023-02-14 - The Estey Organ Company, and the Fort Wayne Masonic Temple instrument in particular, are discussed at some length in an article in The American Organist, January 2016, page 38. The author, Thad Reynolds, organ builder with Reynolds Associates, Inc. has done some restoration work on the Fort Wayne instrument, as well as other Estey instruments. The January 2016 issue can be accessed here: https://mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?m=32215&i=285858&p=44&ver=html5 -David A Hendricksen
