2007-10-28 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Organ Committee begins assessing organ in 2003 for major rebuild and upgrade. April 2004, organ removed. Room 100 used as "organ factory." New chests built for manual pipework. Hook & Hastings chests for Pedal 16' wood Open Diapason and 16' Bourdon retained and restored/releathered. Some pipes sent to makers for repair. By Sept. 2004, components installed, tested, and organ piped and playable. The new chromatic manual chests were installed with the tallest pipes at the back of the chamber and the smallest ones closest to the shutters to allow for the greatest, unobstructed tonal egress. Organ dedicated January 23, 2005. -Database Manager
