Notes

2007-10-30 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was originally built for First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, TN at their location on Broadway. When the church moved and built a new facility in 1975, the organ was relocated to Bethel College. -Database Manager

2015-06-08 - Updated through online information from Justin Little. -- Organ is in memory of Frank J. and Nannie Keener McDonald per plaque. It appears this organ was rebuilt in 1977 (according to a plaque on the top of the console) by the Kent Ford Family. This organ has a Moller rocker tablet stop rail, typical of the 1960's and 1970's, so I am guessing it was a Moller rebuild. The organ is in chambers at the left of the room, but it is pretty easy to see inside. It appears the great is unenclosed, even though the console has an expression pedal. The swell is enclosed, but the expression pedal barely made any volume difference by my observation. The console appears to be the 1955 original. It is typical of Moller consoles of this era (skeleton key lock, and a more tapered, round look) with the aforementioned stop rail update. -Database Manager

2015-10-26 - Updated through online information from Randall Dyer. -- The organ was gifted to Bethel College and moved from Knoxville, Tennessee, by Randall Dyer & Assoc. Reservoirs were releathered at some point, but the organ was not otherwise rebuilt at the time of the reinstallation.

Only those alterations required to make it fit the different space were made, except that the 4' Geigen Principal on the Swell was repositioned as a 2' stop to brighten the sound. -Database Manager
