Notes

2007-11-16 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was the removal, moving, and re-installation in the new edifice of the congregation's existing, used, Aeolian organ...first installed when they were known as Bethel Baptist. The church name has only recently been changed from Riviera Baptist to West Hills Community Church. -Database Manager

2008-01-04 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ is entirely original (pipes, windchests, shutters, percussions, regulators) excepting the Trems, three replacement ranks of pipes, and the 1965 Balcom and Vaughan console which replaced the original -- whose disposition is unknown. The organ is in a chamber above the baptistery on the front wall with the Great on the right and the Swell on the left. The dividing partitions between the Great/Pedal and Swell have been removed in an attempt to equalize the temperature between the divisions. The Great 8' French Horn (open wood/bearded) has recently been replaced with a new 4' Octave. And the Swell 8' Viole d'Orch. & Viole Celeste have been replaced with a 2-2/3' Nazard and 2' Spitz Principal respectively. The original pipework is in storage in the chambers. The original 20-note chimes and 49-note Aeolian harp are both present, as is a Deagan "Parsifal Bells" of 37-notes - which is essentially a reiterating chrysoglott. Documented 01/02/08. -Database Manager
