2009-08-27 - Updated through on-line information from George Edmonds. -- I was the organist of Emmanuel Lutheran Church from 1997 to 2001. I also attended the church with my grandparents starting in 1955. The organ was moved from their old building in roughly 1961 to their current building. The instrument has been maintained. The only change has been the removal of the 8' Viole d Orchestra and replaced by a 4' Octave. The organ is still used today in the church. In the old church the organ was located on the right side of the altar. When moved to the new church it is now located on the left side of the altar. The swell shutters where never changed and the shutters open sending the sound to the back wall behind the altar. In my youth I played the instrument and know it well. It is a Möller duplex instrument. The original console is still in use. -Database Manager
