2014-02-22 - Updated through online information from Jay Hackleman. -- Building built in 1927 as Bethel Baptist Church and designed by H.D. Davenport of Lane, Davenport & Peterson. It was the third home of German-American Baptists whose congregation dates to 1864. Bethel sold the building to Greater Christ Baptist Church, an African-American Baptist congregation, in 1960. -Database Manager
