2007-12-01 - Identified through on-line information from Stephen Hall. -- Built for St. Katherine Drexel, Hempstead, TX. Relocated to St. Mary's in 2005. The sanctuary was built in 1918 to replace the 1894 structure destroyed by fire in 1917 when lightning struck the bell tower. St. Mary's music council had planned for a mechanical action instrument of 11 ranks to to placed in the rear gallery as the last phase of a restoration project, and still wishes to do so in the future. The Wicks unit organ became available from another church before the funds had been raised for the new instrument, and was installed in the interim.
