2013-01-07 - Updated through online information from Scot Huntington. -- The walnut-colored case with gold facade pipes is located at the right-front corner of the room. There is a passage through the case through which the choir can enter the choir seating area from the main hallway that spans the church behind the organ and altar. The Great and Swell are stacked with the Swell at floor level and the Great and Pedal Bourdon above. The Echo is located in a small closet-sized chamber on the second floor at the center-rear, and is winded from the blower in the cellar under the main organ, and the first manual is dedicated to the Echo division. -- manual chests have 73 notes -Database Manager
2016-03-03 - Updated through online information from Scot Huntington. A 2013 entry for the First Methodist Church, Dansville, New York lists this organ as existing there in altered condition as of 2002. A 2016 search of the Canisteo church's website photos confirm a 2-manual imitation device is now in use; the former console alcove is gone, having been replaced with a contemporary baptismal font, but the 1930 Moller casework remains in place, unaltered. Further research is needed to confirm the date and circumstances of this organ's removal, and its current state in Dansville. -Database Manager
