2020-11-24 - From the NYC AGO NYC Organ Project: In 1931, a new Gothic-style church of brick with limestone trim was opened. This building is now home to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, a congregation organized in 1956, where services are held in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. The Möller Factory Specification (dated May 15, 1930) shows that their Op. 5815 would have a detached, three-manual stop-key console, casing of quartered oak, and four groups of gold bronze front pipes. Wind Pressure for the entire organ was 6" and a note indicated "Small auditorium, All voicing light." Möller indicated that the organ would be completed by November 1, 1930. The fate of this organ is unknown. -Jeff Scofield
