2020-09-26 - I (John Anderson) was Minister of Music at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown NY from 1980-1987 and serviced this organ during my years there, including a full releathering of all chests, the reservoir, and swell motors, plus a full cleaning and regulation of the pipes. All pipework is contained in a single chamber at the right front of the church, immediately forward of, and above, the small choir area where the console is. There was a single set of swell shades for the chamber behind acoustical cloth, allowing the organ to speak into the sanctuary over the heads of the choir. Once the organ had been restored to its original condition, the sound was quite pleasant and the action prompt, well-suited to this small room. -John Anderson
