2022-05-02 - This was an original installation in the chapel of the Episcopal Church Home, a 1902 stone building with several Tiffany windows. In 1972 it was recognized that the majority of mobility-challenged residents could not enter the chapel, so it was demolished and a modern health-care facility was built on the site. The organ, windows, and other artifacts were put into storage while funds were raised to construct a new and more accessible chapel. Twelve years later, the new chapel was rededicated in 1984, and the the Moller was installed in the new acoustically-favorable building. Further research is needed to ascertain who moved the instrument, and what changes, if any, were made to this Whitelegg-era instrument in the process. -Scot Huntington
