Notes

2008-01-14 - According to church records, courtesy of Bill McElwee, the organ was installed not long after the present building was dedicated in October, 1912. Records indicate strings substituted for the organ, "which was not ready to be installed." Nothing is known of the organ's origin; it was replaced by a second-hand Kimball in 1944. -Database Manager

2008-02-24 - Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- It is very evident from several tell-tale signs that this was a W.W. Kimball Co. instrument. The flat/diagonal stop jambs with the drawknobs projecting through and the oblique faces are clearly Kimball. Also, in the close-up photo of the keydesk, the style of the engraved nameplate is recognizable as Kimball. And while the nameplate is not clearly legible....the "K" in the center is discernible. -Database Manager
