Notes

2008-01-30 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The church began checking for an organ in 1956. In additon to Wicks, they contacted Eugene Poole - regional Representative for Möller, and also considered Hammond and a Wurlitzer "Orgatron" before deciding on the Wicks. The minimal combination action was added as an afterthought. The organ is in a chamber on the left wall in the chancel area with louvers into both the chancel and sanctuary. Tonal additions were made in 1977. -Database Manager

NOTES
When searching alternatives for an organ for the church, in addition to
Wicks, Eugene Poole, the Möller Rep. from California was also consulted
in 1956. The congregation also looked at Hammond and a Wurlitzer
“Orgatron.”

As originally contracted, the console had no combination action. This
was added after the contract was signed.

The organ was installed in a chamber on the left side of the chancel at
the front of the church. The console was placed on the right side facing
the chamber.

The Voix Celeste and Erzähler were added in 1978.

The exact nomenclature of stops and controls is not verifiable since the
original console was replaced in 1982 after suffering damage from a
console fire.
