2008-03-01 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Originally built for the Embassy Theatre in Waltham, this was a stlye U-20 instrument. Building slated for demolition in the 1970s. Then Mayor Arthur Clark stipulated that the organ would be donated to any public institution in Waltham that wanted it. Restoration will include all percussions. -Database Manager

2008-03-02 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ had been previously installed by another person/firm - not Eric Larson. A lightning strike in 1996 entered the organ's electrical system and damaged about 25% of the magnets. Mr. Larson is rewinding many of them, and is taking magnets from the Vox Humana chest - planning on building a new Vox chest with Reisner magnets. No tonal changes are being made to the organ, but several additional regulators are being added for 16' and 8' octaves of pipes that are offset. Percussions include: chrysoglott, glockenspiel, xylophone, marimba, and chimes. Source: e-mail from Eric Larson. -Database Manager
