2008-03-02 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was the addition of a Processional organ installed in the South gallery. It was playable from a 2-manual console, and was formerly the Echo division of the Carnegie Hall Kilgen organ. Cost was $9,825.00. The contract was signed on May 27, 1948. The new "Liturgical organ was dedicated on October 13, 1949. The Most Rev. Joseph E. Ritter gave the blessing of the organ, and the dedication recital was played by Cathedral Organist, Dr. Mario Salvador. -Database Manager
