2008-03-07 - Identified from factory documents and publications courtesy of Stephen Schnurr. This organ was built for the Möller studio in Hagerstown in 1940, and installed in this church in 1942. At this time, it was difficult or impossible for organbuilders to produce new instruments, and this was simply sold from stock. The Pedal division included V Acoustic Bass, drawn from pipework in the Swell and Great divisions. The Great division included IV Harmonics and V Cornet, along with III Mixture. The Swell included IV Plein Jeu, and the Choir V Dulciana mixture, derived from the Dulciana rank of 85 pipes. From The American Organist, January 1943, page 116. -Database Manager
2009-03-24 - Updated through online information from Randall Newman. -- A fire in 1971 destroyed the original console and much of the sanctuary, but spared the pipes. A replacement used Möller 4m console was substituted for the one that burned. The 4th manual acts as a coupler manual. -Database Manager

2011-12-31 - Updated through online information from Jeff Scofield. -- The part of the organ on display in the factory was the Whitelegg Great division, which had been built for demonstration purposes; it was installed high above the second level at one end of the erecting room; in addition to using the Whitelegg Great, Möller may possibly have knit together the balance of the organ using inventory pipework since there were war production restrictions at the time. -Database Manager
