2019-07-05 - According to a church history, the portable organ was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. McGuire in October of 1944. Since no pipe organs were built due to war time regulations, the organ must have been older than that, it may have been a Moller Artist moved from a chapel or funeral home in the area. The church history states it was "in use for many years" before being replaced by an electronic substitute but does not give a date. As the church built a new, larger sanctuary around 1960, that would seem a good possible end date. -Database Manager
