2008-05-18 - Updated with information from Michael Valentine: Organ and building destroyed by fire in December, 1985. -Database Manager

2012-06-22 - Updated through online information from Randall S. Dyer. -- This organ was not destroyed in a fire, but was removed when the building housing it, the church's old sanctuary, was demolished around 1975. The organ was given to Carson-Newman College. It was subsequently sold to Randall Dyer & Assoc., who used it in 1979 as the basis of an organ with substantially new pipes, console, etc., for Kentucky Christian College, in Grayson, KY. That organ was removed in 2011 in deference to a new musical style at the school. New pipework was salvaged for use in a subsequent instrument. The manual windchests of the Moller were destroyed. Large Pedal pipes and chests were salvaged. -Database Manager

2012-06-22 - Updated through online information from Randall Dyer. -- The nameplate, hanging on the wall in my shop, says 1947. The factory files indicate the pipes were built during January-March 1947, so the contract date is probably 1946. -Database Manager

2022-09-24 - The factory specs say : "In order to build the organ now, it will be necessary for the church to turn in 8 sets of metal pipes from the present organ as salvage, and 1 set of metal pipes will be furnished from inventory in the plant (reconditioned pipes). The two sets of wooden pipes will be new. All of the other parts of the organ to be new, with the exception of the present case and display pipes." -Jeff Scofield
