2013-07-22 - Updated through online information from Brian Fowler. -- The organ is in general use and has been so since installed. It has suffered from some misguided attempts at refurbishment but nothing drastic. The wind pressure was lowered to 2" from what appears to have been the original 3". Action was re-nutted at some time with thick felt punchings installed at all joints. New nuts and bushing cloth punchings have been installed making the action much more responsive. Facade pipes were originally stenciled then over painted at some time in the organ's life. Restoration of the stencil paint work was not approved due to cost. The pipes are being re-painted with a durable "gold" finish with very light preparation work so as to preserve the stencil patterns under the paint for future reference, and hopefully restoration. -Database Manager
