2022-02-19 - Opus 7610, an instrument of 2 manuals, 22 stops, 14 ranks, and 1,938 Pipes was contracted on March 31st, 1947 at a cost of $11,059 plus $1,105.90 federal tax. On March 19th, 1948 a letter was sent to Rev. Zoltan A. Vajda informing that the price of materials and labor would see an increase between April 1947 and March 1948, so the price of the organ was to increase. The accountants at Möller had found that their cost of labor between April 1947 and March 1948 has increased by 11% and their cost of materials has increased by 16% The price of the organ was raised from $11,059 to $12,164.90 and the new excise tax was $1,216.49, but the price of the casework which was $1,484 was not to increase The church accepted the increased contract price of the organ -Roman Lizak
2023-01-08 - The organ was removed from the church sometime in the late 1970's by Möller representative Phill Robertson. It was stored at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church also in Detroit. The organ was destroyed entirely when a fire broke out sometime in the early 1980's -Roman Lizak
