2011-01-03 - Updated through on-line information from James L. Ziessler. -- I recently acquired the Moller, Opus 7811 from Mr. Blaine Ricketts; organ installer/repairman/entrepenure living in Hayward, CA. He owned the organ for several years and had it playing in his residence until recently when he down sized his residence. I acquired the organ on Dec. 28, 2010. It is being stored in Manteca, CA. I plan on moving it down to my home, in Visalia, CA., sometime in the next couple of months.

The organ proper is enclosed in a beautiful medium Cherry casework. The swell shades are electrically operated by one swell shoe. The organ measures 96" wide, 84" high, and 30" deep. The original blower was meant to be apart of the movable casework. However it is missing and a larger blower is used and enclosed in a muffler box outside of the organ. The console casework is still in beautiful condition. I am amazed that this organ has not had any visible damage or signs of abuse. The stop tabs and name plate will need to be replaced due to deterioration. The original Diapason rank was missing when Mr. Ricketts acquired the organ. But after some searching he found a comparable Diapason rank from another portable Moller organ and installed those pipes. The only difference is that a couple of the lower pipes had been unmitered and now were straight. I intend to remiter them so they fit in the casework and the top lid can be used. From all signs the organ is in excellent condition. The metal pipes are straight, round, unscuffed or dented. The wooden Flue pipes are absolutely beautiful. The yellow finish looks almost new. The console, bench and pedalboard are original to each other as indicated by design and structure. -Database Manager

2013-04-22 - Updated through online information from James Ziessler. -- I am an organist, and I played this organ as a young organ students in H.S. while it was St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
I am the present owner of the organ. It came to me from Blaine Ricketts who had it in Hayward, CA. I didn't realize it was the same instrument as a H.S. student until I asked Mr. Ricketts where it came from. What a thrill to know I have this instrument that I played as a young organ student. It needed many repairs and some have been completed but not all: New stop tabs to console, obtain original lower 4 pipes to the Diapason rank, releather reservoir, releather swell motor(s), fix leaks to chest and trunk lines. -Database Manager
