2021-12-05 - The organ is installed in a left front chamber, previously occupied by a two-manual tracker. The Moller is installed behind the 19th-century case and facade, although the original facade pipes are now mute. The organ is stacked, Swell at the bottom at floor level, and the Great on top. The Violone rank is across the rear, along with the basses of the Great Diapason and 16' Dulciana extension. The pipework is high-tin spotted metal with zinc basses-- there are no wood pipes in the organ. Both divisions are enclosed and independently expressive, with vertical shades on individual motors. The case woodwork was originally dark, painted white during a later redecoration of the sanctuary. The construction quality of the mechanism and pipework is quite high. The blower is a Kinetic with a 2 h.p. motor, and the organ speaks on 4" pressure, as inscribed on the middle-c pitch pipe of the Great 4' Octave. The DC generator operates off the main turbine shaft, and still powers the instrument. The brass memorial plaque on the console reads as follows: Chimes given in memory of Deacon James A. and Iva Saunders and Deaconess Susan Saunders Beebe & Clarence Beebe by Marguerite Beebe Keuhn and Howard E. Keuhn. -Scot Huntington
2021-12-05 - The handsome Greek Revival frame building with the most prominent steeple in town, was built in 1847 and dedicated in 1848. The once handsomely stencilled interior has been remodeled numerous times, but still retains its historic form. -Scot Huntington
