2023-01-25 - St. Joseph parish did not exist in 1915. St. Joseph parish was formed out of St. Francis de Sales mission in 1948 and the St. Joseph church was built 1948/49. Also, St. Francis de Sales mission did not exist in 1915. It (the mission) was formed in 1921 and utilized a converted army barracks building from Ft. Jackson as its meeting place and a pump organ was used. I know it was a pump organ because the daughter of the parishioner who played it is still alive and shared this information with me. The Moller that went into the newly built 1948/49 St Joseph church was a new Moller and your opus number is correct. I have read the parish/Moller correspondence and contract from 1948. Thanks! Keep up the great work! -Brad Cunningham
