2007-09-27 - Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Housed in a beautiful case much like the 1873 Stevens at First Congregational in Calais, Maine. Five-sectional facade containing 23 stenciled pipes arranged: 5-3-7-3-5. The Great 16' Teneroon, 8' Open Diapason, and 4' Principal all have pipes en facade. -Database Manager

2021-08-31 - This completely intact example of Stevens' work cost no more than $2,000, raised by the 73 ladies and gentlemen of the Organ Society, formed in 1870, and disbanded in 1883 when it merged with what is now The Ladies Union Society. All of the handsomely decorated case pipes speak; zinc basses of the Tenoroon 16', Open Diapason 8', and Principal 4' are in the case. The Dulciana 8', Sw. Open Diapason 8', and Salicional 8' all have 12 stopped wood basses. The Flute 4' and Stop Dia. Treble 8' are chimney flutes, with stopped wood basses in the Swell stop. The lowest 8 of the Bourdon Bass 16' are unenclosed. The Cornet is 19-22, breaking to 12-15 at TC, The Pedal stop is of open wood. -- *1981 OHS Handbook* -Paul R. Marchesano
