2008-05-08 - Identified through online information from Dr. Jonathan Biggers. -- This instrument, Hellmuth Wolff opus 6 has been purchased by my university for use as a studio teaching organ/small concert instrument. The organ will be removed from Anabel Taylor Hall at Cornell University in mid-May, 2008 by Hellmuth Wolff, who will be restoring/altering the instrument (new action, new 8' Trumpet on G.O.; 2' Flute a fuseau from G.O., to be replaced by a 4' Flute Conique; removal of 8' Voix Humaine from Recit, and installation of 8' Cromorne previously located on G.O.; new 16' Posaune in Pedal, with an 8' Trompette extension; complete renovation/revision of mechanical action; complete restoration of all pipework to prime condition; case will be fumed; and console <i>en fenêtre</i> will be totally revised. The organ will be reinstalled at Binghamton University in a large teaching studio/small classroom which is being renovated to accommodate the instrument. Acoustical design of the renovated facility has been done by David Kahn of Acoustic Dimensions, and I have served as principal consultant for the project. -Database Manager
