2017-06-11 - Updated by James R. Stettner, listing this website as a source of information: http://database.organsociety.org/OrganDetails.php?OrganID=3503.

According to the cover story on the 2004 Andover Organ Co. 'Newsletter', this was mostly a restoration. The organ had been altered tonally in the 1960's, and a 25-note pedalboard had replaced the original 20-note pedalboard. A rebuilt 27-note flat/parallel pedalboard was installed in-place of the 25-note one. Couplers were extended to 27 notes. The Pedal chest was retabled and expanded to 27 notes. 7 pipes were added to the Pedal 16' Double Open Diapason. The hitch-down Swell mechanism was restored. The manual chests were retabled and the pallets made removable. The playing and stop actions were renewed throughout. Pipework was cleaned and repaired and set back on-speech. Pipes were fitted with tuning slides to prevent further future damage. The pitch was returned to the original pitch. 1960's tonal changes were reversed and the original stoplist restored. The Swell as 3 unenclosed bass stops of 17 pipes each: 8' Stopped Diapason, 8' Dulciana, and 4' Principal. -Database Manager
