2011-03-09 - Updated through online information from Bob Moody. -- The console material was oak and the trim boards that held the pistons must have shrunk slightly, because if you released a piston by letting your thumb slide off rather than letting it out gently the entire piston would fly out of the organ and go behind the bench. I wedged paper around each button's surround back in 1961, and guess that it held to this day. The impression of this organ was that of a very large Aeolian Skinner but from a fair distance. A faculty member (professor of Greek) played the complete works of Bach on this organ one year and the complete works of Franck another year. From the stoplist you wouldn't think this possible, but it was. -Database Manager
