2008-06-23 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Originally built for Velda Rose United Methodist Church in Mesa, AZ in 1981 as a 2/17. The church was doing a building project, and discovered that the architect had left no chamber space for their 7 year old Wicks organ. So it was sold to Bob Jones University through an organ technician in Atlanta. The organ was removed from the Mesa church by BJU personnel and taken to the Atlanta builder, where it was augmented with the addition of the Great 4' Nachthorn and a Pedal 16' Principal extension. It was installed in summer 1988, and dedicated by Dr. Ed Dunbar on Jan. 15, 1989. Source: Wicks opus list & Organs of BJU website. -Database Manager
