2021-09-03 - "Commissioned for the church's 300th anniversary in 1980, the new "Tercentennial Organ" incorporates nine ranks of pipes from the previous 1930 electropneumatic Hook & Hastings organ as well as the restored case and facade pipes of the original 1856 E.&.G.G. Hook, opus 208. It has mechanical key action and electric stop and combination actions. The detached oak console, of modern design, is situated 10' from the case. Despite the long and complex tracker runs required (26' to 34' going through four sets of squares and a roller board for each division), the action is light and responsive." -- From Builder ad, *1983 OHS Handbook* -Paul R.
