2009-01-07 - Updated through online information from DAN TALBOT. -- In 2007, FBC is serious about having the original leather replaced. The organ is pretty much in original condition, with the exception of alteration of the swell shades back in the mid 1980s. Electric Peterson motors were installed [poorly] but have recently been made to at least function now. The console was releathered in 2005 and was done by the late John Steppe from Guzowski & Steppe. No tonal changes have been made. If money becomes available, a 32' Trombone and a 32' Bourdon are being thought of being added since the room is a huge room, originally seating 1600 people when it was built in the 1950s. -Database Manager

2012-09-21 - Updated through online information from DAN TALBOT. -- The organ was releathered over the past 4 years by Guzowski & Steppe Organbuilders. The organ was unaltered mechanically [but modified tonally with electronic sounds]. The Choir Clarinet was reworked. 32' Peterson extensions were added. There is now a 32' Dulciana, 32' Violone and 32' Trombone which greatly helped the sound of the organ in the huge space. It was something the organist that was there when the instrument was installed wanted to do back in the early 70's. He said 2 stops were kept from the previous instrument, but it appears that only the Clarinet was possibly the only stop retained from the old church. -Database Manager
