2008-08-05 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Organ installed in a loft area above the living space by the owners, who work under the name "Renaissance Pipe Organ Co." Organ releathered. Console and exposed woodwork refinished. New SSL relay and comb. action. Future plans include the addition of 3-5 ranks of pipes in an expressive division, and a complete tonal refinishing. Source: Pipe Organs of Ann Arbor by James O. Wilkes -Database Manager

2011-09-17 - Updated through online information from David Hufford. -- The 1943 Schantz organ was a mechanically new instrument of seven ranks that incorporated several ranks of pipes retained from Nazareth Lutheran Church's previous pipe organ. We believe that instrument to have been a Barckhoff pipe organ from the very late 1800s. In 1982, four additional ranks (a Mixture III and a Voix Celeste) were added by Schantz. The instrument was purchased by David Hufford in 1993, and installed in its present location between 1993-1994. The electrical systems were solid-stated (SSL combination action and Devtronix diode switching systems) and the reservoirs were releathered. The balance of the organ leather is original from 1943/1982. -Database Manager
