2008-09-20 - Updated through information from Cullie Mowers: -- In the 3m Link organ at the Roberson Center in Binghamton, NY (which we cared for for several years) the bottom octave of the Diapason unit is diaphones. The pipes provide a full -- and, yes, somewhat dense -- sound which blends well with other resources and is very quick-speaking. No "traditional" pipes can provide bass tones that full and that fast.
