Notes

2008-09-07 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ was purchased for the existing church, but with plans afoot for a new edifice. The 6-rank, 10-stop Choir division was prepared-for. When/if added, the organ would then be 24 independent registers, 37 speaking stops, 26 ranks, and 1744 pipes. New Orleans no longer has a "First Evangelical Church" so the location of this edifice and the status of the organ are unknown. -Database Manager

2011-09-19 - Updated through online information from Jeff Scofield. -- Congregation merged with Trinity UCC and moved to Metairie, LA in 1992; facilities turned over to First Unitarian-Universalist Church; organ badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and parted out. -Database Manager
