2010-02-15 - Updated through on-line information from Chad Boorsma. -- This instrument replaced a 1896 Johnson & Son organ, which had been installed when the building was dedicated. Second Reformed merged with First Reformed in 1918 to become Central Reformed Church. The merged congregation used First Reformed's building, and the Wirsching instrument was sold in 1922 to Coldbrook Christian Reformed Church, also in Grand Rapids. Coldbrook replaced the instrument in 1927 with a new Schantz organ. -Database Manager
