2017-09-03 - Updated by Doris MacDonnell, who has heard or played the organ.<br> I played this organ for a funeral on 9/2/17. With occasional leakage from a bellows it was a good experience. It was pumped by a relative of the deceased who did not really know music but did a very good job keeping it steady. -Database Manager
2020-10-14 - The organ had previously for years been attributed to Henry Erben. Upon recent research, it has been determined that the organ was not by Henry Erben and thus is attributed to George Jardine. Correspondence between Stephen Best and Stephen Pinel, who has written a monograph on Henry Erben and researched the builder for many years, produce the following from Mr. Pinel: "It has been largely concluded by the knowing ones that the Fairfield organ was made by Geo. Jardine (1801-82), not Erben. I don't even reference the organ in my book. That's not to opine that it's not an important organ; it is, so I hope the folks in-charge get a very skilled person to do the job correctly." -Paul R. Marchesano
